chop down revolver barrel
« on: December 17, 2011, 12:24:35 PM »
Hey guys I am sure one of you has done this. Could I do it with some basic tools and a big dose of elbow grease? I have a vice, a hacksaw, some files, and a drill press. Thinking of doing this to one of the new 4 inch sp101 357 (down to a 3 inch). I appreciate the input.

After  (3-1/16")

The two areas of possible contention are cutting the underlug back far enough so as to interfere with the ejector rod front end, etc; and relocating the front sight and/or milling/cutting a lengthwise slot in the barrel top or the new ront sight blade ILO a dovetailed ramp.
