got my 35 whelen barrel

Got barrel in mail from another member,took 5 30-06 brass sized them in my new rcbs whelen dies and loaded them up all 5 went off with no problem,this is gonna be a fun one to shoot

What is a good bullet to use I have some 180 and 200 grain hornadys what are some of your suggestions

all around non dangerous game I prefer the 225 sierra gameking,  for deer,black bear and pigs,  for heavy boned elk or large bears  barnes 225tsx  both over 55-59gr RL15


remington 200 grain corelocks  are good for the lighter stuff deer,pigs, small bear  and much cheaper to shoot than the sierras or barnes.


If I ever get my rifle back from the shop theres some 200gr hornady ftx loaded up to try and make a light recoiling deer/hog round at around 2200 fps. I think these are more for 35 rem velocities, not real sure how well they would hold togather under full house loads so it should make an ideal light loading
