OUTFITTING AN ATV FOR TRAPPING
« on: June 08, 2011, 10:19:34 AM »
I was just sitting here thinking of ways to set up my other ATV for trapping. I was thinking of making up a rack to hold my catch pole, shovel, and what ever other long tools I might take along. When I was thinking of this, my bow carriers came to mind.
Has anyone here in this forum used these on their ATV to carry their long handle tools for trapping? If so, how did they work out for you?

Here is what I'm talking about....

My son has this cage like basket made for a 4wheeler on the back filled with all his trapping stuff. It holds buckets of stuff. The gun racks you show holds hid catch pole .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Here is one of my ATVs that I use on my traplines. The box on the back has 2 compartments and doors on both ends. One section holds small hand tools, wire, flagging tape, and other small items. The other end holds my setters, tomahawk, anchor driver, and what ever else I need to put in there.
I was thinking of mounting a couple of brackets on the back side and mounting the gun holders to the bracket.

I use a gun rack in the front left corner of rack and rear left corner to hold my 8-12' drowning rods.

I just have to mount and exit on the right side of the 4 wheeler

all other gear is in milk crates and a big mouth carpenters tool bag
THE 10 COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT SUGGESTIONS

Maker of trappers tools and gear, have an idea?  Let's talk !
