I have nothing new to add but will reiterate what others in this thread have said.
My NEF 10 gauge is the old waterfowl model with a fixed full choke. I bought it new when I was a sophomore in high school. Other guns have came and gone, almost all of them were "nicer" than the 10, but it is the one I keep. I can't miss with it. It flattens turkey, geese, and ducks.
I don't find the recoil to be that bad, if you want to see what a pussy cat it can be, try some 2 7/8" shells from RST. They are loaded with a lighter shot charge and moderate velocity for use in old double guns.
