barrel worth
« on: May 27, 2011, 02:35:02 PM »
Need a little help from you TCR 87 experts. I have three barrels with the deep luster blue in 22.250, 7mm mag and 30.06. Appear to have been shot very little if at all. Also a .223 barrel on the rifle. My problem is I think I want to sell the 3 extra barrels however not sure what is a fair price?  I'm also tempted to sell the whole set. What price? Appreciate your thoughts.

Check prices on www.gunbroker.com  Type in what you are looking for then after all the current listings pop up, do an advanced search on completed auctions sorted by highest number of bids.  That way you can see what they actuallt sell for.

What I see on these barrels is for used around 250.00 at most gun shows and Gun Brokers, with a good mount and rings a little more. The 87 that is nice with mount and rings are set in at 695.00 and sometimes sell for a little more. One problem that I see any way is the 223, 22-250 barrel are the most common and there fore not as easy to sell. ed's contenders sell new 7mm for 150.00 but are not high gloss, he also has user 243 and 270 for 250. I did see a 06 barrel at last gun show for 350.00 with no takers also saw one for 250 same thing. Again every area will be different and there are two problems in trying to sell any single shot rifle There is a very limited market of gun people who wont to invest in a single shot rifle. Dont get me wrong I love mine, an 83 and a 87 with extra barrels and am always on the hunt for extra barrels. The other problem is that they are no longer made as of 93 and TC is getting low on repair parts from what they tell me. There are a lot of members on here who love their single shots, I have always been a single shot man, love them.
