i like and use the ones that remington used to put in with their rifles,i think it was called a montana sling with one slider to adjust the lenth. eastbank.

I use Brownells version of the standard military sling.

Montana slings are still out there.

I put one on my Savage '99 in .300 Savage, and it works great.

  Me too, Remington put one in the box with every new 700 BDL...  Too bad they quit doing that!

Both Marlin & Savage have made leather slings I really like and the Montana sling is ok.
