The 23" barrels are the current offering on the G2s and are considered "heavy", so you'll want the G2-style forearm. Another option is to take the carbine forearm from the original contender and open up the channel for the heavier contour. Recently did that with a walnut forearm that was made for the 21" tapered carbine barrels.
