She's a .30-06 and the load is a 150 Sierra Pro Hunter ( flat base) over 58gr of H4350 in neck sized Federal cases, CCI 200 primers OAL 3.3 and chrono'd velocity 2777 fps. At 200 yards I fired 3, 3 shot groups. (1) 3x3 1/4x200 2x 2 3/8, (2) 3x3 7/8x200 2x2 3/4 and (3)3x2 3/8x200 2x 1/4. At 300 the next 3, 3 rounders (4) 3x2 13/16x300 2x 1 1/8, (5) 3x4 1/8x300 2x1 3/4, (6)3x3 1/2x300 2x 2 1/8.The groups are listed as the overall size and the 2 closest shots within the group.
This was my first time with this rifle at these ranges and my first time at 300 with a scoped rifle. I must say I'm very encouraged with the results! My initial zero with this load is +2 1/2" at 100 and figured it would be dead on at 200. Actually its +1 at 200 and down 8 at 300. I expect , with alittle more practice I should be able to tighten things up abit. This rifle has continually amazed me with its accuracy. Critters are in SERIUOS trouble this year! BTW groups were fired with my hand grasping the forend and resting on the sandbag. Although resting the forend on the bag directly gives no change in point of impact, it does give larger groups. GREAT rifles, these Remington pumps!
