New to me Marlin 336T "The Texan"

Hey all!

I just scored at a real good price from a local gun shop a new to me Marlin that I thought I would share here.

I got this 1978 model 336T Texan 30-30.
Its in real nice condition, looks like the previous owner only shot it a few times and then left it in a gun cabinet or something since then.
Theres hardly a mark on it, not even the usual scrapes on the loading gate!
I haven't even took the time to clean it up proper yet, but of course I had to take it out and shoot a couple through it as soon as I got home!  ;D

Picked it up today for $325.00

I have one exactly like yours. I payed less, but the stock needed refinishing. It looks as nice as yours now.

Thanks guys!

I took it apart and cleaned it really good, there was a few spots that I thought was blems on the stock, but they cleaned right off!

I put one of my Weaver mounts and QR rings w an older Simmons White tail classic 3-9x40 scope that I have had for years on it, a black synth sling "I will replace this with a nice leather one later on" and now its ready to go to the range!

Next weekend, I will be taking it to my nephews house, he has a 300 yard range out back setup, and we will get er dialed in and see if it can shoot straight!
