New TC Omega
« on: February 25, 2011, 02:10:34 PM »
I just bought a T/C Omega used but it had not been shot very clean. I think i got a good deal but i can't find one like it online. It must be an older model it's all realtree stock and barrel. Can anybody give me an approximate mfg date? I also want know an approx value. I paid $225 for it.

Sounds like you got a good deal to me for an unfired rifle, especially if it came with the box and accesories.  If my memory serves me correctly ( it doesn't so much any more!), it went for $400 plus several years back.  Throw away the Bore Butter and go makes some smoke!

here's a newe discussion on an old topic.

Bore Butter is a hot topic, some swear by it, others swear at it!  You really shouldn't use it for sabot shooting.  IMHO, of you use it, try to get it all out before shooting.  Sabots should be shot dry.

Pick up some BH209 for your Omega.  You will be glad you did.

I have one, I believe it was made about 2006, that's how (5 years) old mine is. DennyRoark is correct, about the price. Current value is about $225 to $300 depending on condition & what comes with it. Gun shoots really good.

I bought a new Omega wit the real tree fiber stock and the first thing that struck me was the amount of noise the hollow stock put off? I took the grip cap and recoil pad off and filled the holes with minmal expanding sealer foam. Noise no longer a problem.
