ok i got my trapping set up ready my new to me holster came in the mail today woooo hoooo im a happy going to be trapper i got the 22 barrel last week now the holster boy i love to trade this should make it a lil easier to carry the encore 22 on the trap line wish i could have found a revolver but this will work fine

Well it's long enough to whack em on the head it it doesnt work out! LOL Sorry but I had to say it!!!

When I'm running leg holds, I carry my Ruger Super Single Six .22 and if I'm in my canoe or boat checking leg holds, I use my Henry .22 lever action. I still love my Encore for everything else!

thats what i thought if i cant hit them with a shell i can sure wack em with it i have a few canoes thats a great idea set foot traps along the river never thought about that in the fall maybe ill give it a try i have a marlin 39a but think the encore will work fine and would rather give the encore a bath than the marlin for sure

well after playing with the gun n holster last night came up with it needs altered. so i took it to the shoe maker today going to have him cut the top of the holster where the rear sight is catching on the leather . so hes going to cut out around the rear sight sew it then sew a hood over the cut out so the rear sight clears the leather 15 bucks about a week and a half hes busy . hope when i get it back it does not look like i did it

. just figured if i let it catch i was going to rip the threads were already tore up some and the leather looked like it was rubbing from day one . no biggie

I use my canoe on small lakes, and smaller rivers. When I'm on the larger rivers, I use my 14ft tin can with my 10hp. Yes I do cover more water in my boat but I do prefer the canoe!

i just started canoeing 2 years ago i had 3 traded one for a recurve bow few weeks ago but still have a solo and a 15 footer i love the canoe thing wish i would have started years ago. im still learning the ropes but enjoy the flat waters n slow rivers. heres a pic of what i call the fat daddy canoe i love it.

where i go its mostly on 9.9s maybe 15s i think they raised it . so i dont have to deal with the fast ski boats .
im sure the wakes from that would be rock you back n forth pretty bad . just thinking of it got me smiling thinking of a swim in the dam
