Hot, Hot, Hot,
« on: June 08, 2011, 05:48:50 AM »
Our whacky weather continues--got up to 103 degrees today. Been a long time since the north country has been that hot. And I hope it's a long time , before it does again.

I was just down in Bradenton Florida over this past weekend and it's no hotter down there than it is here in north eastern Illinois. This weather sucks! I feel like a polar bear without snow!!!!

Talking about heat same here in north central WI.  I was painting traffic lines on fresh laid blacktop and i think im roasted to well done.  The black top keeps heat and had to be 110 degrees or more.  The plastic five gallon buckets i have my yellow and white paint in were flexible like a bungie cord....  My boots are Marine Corp issue for Afganistan and feet were hot but didnt sweat like a regular leather boot would.  Thank God for that.   Other years my feet would be swimming.      Bog you packing for Hawkins?
