hey scout i shot the camp bow today
« on: March 20, 2011, 11:07:57 AM »
got out with the old 60 in. indian archery 35# fiberglass camp bow i call it. im pulling it at 28 3/4 to the front side of the bow. i tried the 2117s at about 10 yards. they are  wagging left and right with a 125 tip at 33 1/4 from inside knock to back of tip. i think im going to try a heavier tip might correct the wagging. they hit where i was pointing.just sticking out of target angled to either side. i also tried the st epic 600s 100gr tip 30 1/2 from knock grove to back of tip they fly straight. the 45 50 wood flu flu flew good. i guess the big feathers correct the flight quick. i shot these for a while till the one feather started to strip off. came home duco cemented the feather back on.  ;D ready for next trip to the field.

You're having lots of fun with this b44mag!! That's great! Its the main reason I still shoot these old timey bows, and is the whole reason I shoot wooden arrows!! ;D  You might want to try increasing the brace height on that camp bow, I've done that a few times, and it really helped with arrow flight. Just take the string off an give it several twist then restring the bow and you have a higher brace. Let me know? Have fun b44mag!!! scout4<><
