The waitin' is killin' me
« on: March 04, 2011, 11:45:57 AM »
I sent a CR 45 in to Remington for a new 22" 357 barrel. I called today to check on it and  the gentleman said it was in the process of being test fired. When I asked about how long before it was ready to send back he said " up to two weeks", that seems like a long time to me. You all have a lot more experience with the program than me, how long do you think? I'm worse than a kid at Christmas time, I can't wait!!

a shooter before the first shot is fired"   and i can respect that dearly... ;D
good luck and i hope you get it back soon.

Tom, I can really sympathize with your being unable to wait! I sent a receiver in Jan. for some barrels. Talked to Eric on Wednesday, he said basically the same thing to me.  Guess we'll just have to take a chill pill and sit down and wait. Killing me too!
Good luck to all of us that are WAITING!!!!!!!!!

J3 you are way more mature for your age than I was at 13. I'm 50 years older than you and still ain't growed up LOL!! Pelican717, they say" misery loves company", and dang it, I'm all out of chill pills. I guess I'll have to go play with my other Handi. Gendoc, yes I did, and they said day before yesterday that it was being serviced. Today they said they needed my input for what ever reason so I called them. Just a snafu on their part the fella said.

They were back logged last week, so be patient.  ;)

You didn't say when you sent it in?
It has been exactly 4 weeks for me (took me a week to pack & send after reading about the 7.62x39 availability) and I check online nearly every day.  It still says "Firearm/part has been received and logged in" same as always, never changes.

Aaaarrrghhh  :o

I could see it taking 2 weeks especially the way they go thru the final quality control with a fine toothed pitch fork before they send it out.  ;DKurt

The longer it's up there the bigger the chance it'll get banged up. That's my main concern. I've never even shot the little jewel. I guess I need to go sit in the corner and think about turkey season. Hey , I just saw that this reply made me an avid poster!
