Youth stock

I purchased a NEF .223 and discovered it has a youth stock on it.
I will probably keep the youth stock for my grandson, but would like a full size stock for me now.
Are the stocks interchangable between H&R and NEF?  I have an H&R in .22 WMR and the stocks look like they will interchange. 
Any options people have had good success with?  Adding spacers, buying a new stock, synthetic.

All the stocks will interchange just fine.Slow
