KY Fur Takers - Fur Sale - sold my furs ((Pic heavy)) - Part 1

Just got back from the KY Fur Takers fur auction in Elizabethtown and sold my furs and boy am I DEPRESSED.  I thought they would bring more than they did but I did have some blue pelts in the lot.

Here’s a run down, the prices are for each:
 
Mink
2 @ $3

Coon
2 @ $6
5 @ $4
8 @ $1
1 @ 50 cents

Possums
4 @ $1.50
5 @ 75 cents
6 @ 25 cents

I was hoping they would bring more but this has been a real learning experience and believe me, I have learned a lot.  You're not going to get rich by any means, like a good friend told me, you have to love it to do it - well, I guess I love it.  There were about 8 buyers there.  Enjoy the pics, click to enlarge.

 Mike,those are some nice photos. Hope you and Peggy had a good trip.
 Next year you have to shoot for a few hundred possum,and I know you love handling those sweet smelling yotes--it might be time for a combo long line.

Tom - thanks a lot.  We did have a good time but we are tired; for lunch we had donuts and chili dogs, your favorite - all my buddies at the fur sale were calling me SMILEY, lol.  You can believe next year I will be switching things up.  Thanks again,
