Bases and rings for Omega

It's probably been discussed here before, but I didn't find it. What are the best bases and rings (would prefer quick detach rings for cleaning purposes) for the Omega? Anybody try the Weaver quick detach rings? If so, how did you like them? Thanks!

Warne Maxima QR steel bases and rings work very well-- T/C , Knight, White, A & H, Savage . . . that's what I have on all of them.

Can't beat the Warne/Thompson Maxima bases and Maxima Quick Detach rings in my book. Now decide if you want to keep the rear sight or not. Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8/or like-sized scope is as long as you can use and keep the rear sight. Here's a pic of my set ups:

Any reccomendations on where to purchase? Can't you use the Warne QR rings on the Weaver base?

I had rather you get the matching Maxima steel base M987 in blue, matte, or silver. T/C model number for same base is 7429.

Yeah, I think I'll go with the Warne setup. No reason to mismatch. I went to the Warne site. Looks like a pretty sturdy setup. Thanks for your input.

If you're thinking about using a long scope for the Omega, you may want this base for it. I just bought one yesterday from Midway.com... got their last one in stock... thanks to UC. When you get to thIS site, the Encore/Contender base is the same as the Omega.
