Best year for .38-55?
« on: November 18, 2010, 01:05:47 PM »
I am interested in getting a .38-55 BC but have heard that some of the .38-55 BC had bore issues. Was that common to all or was the problem ever rectified? What would be the best year of manufacture to look for? Thanks.

2007, the last year they made them, late 2006 barrels were good too, but there's no way of knowing when in 2006 a barrel would have been made.

If you can find one that's an extractor, it's more than likely a good one, all the older barrels were ejectors.  ;)
