Has any one else seen this new offering from Remington?  It is on sweet lookin package.  It is a 7600 in .308 with a synthetic stock.  The two features  that I liked are the ghost ring site and it is driled and tapped for scope mounting without removing the ghost ring.  Also it has a 16 1/2 inch barrel.  It would be a great woods and brush gun.  The action is also very slick.  It is like a good pump shotgun that has seen a lot of use but is still very tight.  The only thing that hurts is the price.  The one that i looked at was about $100 more that a regular 7600 in .308.

I saw them a couple years ago when they were peddling 'em among the cop community - back when there were two models! The other was a .223! I emailed 'til I was blue in the face trying to find one but apparently one sale didn't warrant even an email reply. Bastiges!

It's long been my contention that such a rig is a far better patrol shotgun than a shotgun for lots of reasons. A .223 would make a way-cool truck gun for non-game targets of opportunity, huh?
