Browning BAR Mark 1

I have to tell you guys about the BAR that I got at yard sale for $ 300, mint in .300 Winchester.  It has a nice Bauch and Lomb scope, Redfield mounts and rings.  They aloso had 2 Rem. 742, one in 06 the other in 6mm for $150 a piece.  They gave us tons of ammo.  Nice peple they were,  they asked me what I wanted to buy them for, and I said you could get a lot more for them, but they said it was OK.  All of the guns are perfect.  The BAR is a 1985 Belgium.    What do you think it's worth?  I know what the Blue book says but what do you think? I'm not selling though. :-D

Bear Wallow,
Congratulations on what appears to be an excellent purchase. To calculate your winnings, go to the library and open one of the used gun values reference tomes. Remember, the values do vary depending on where you live.
Please let us know how the rifle shoots and functions when you get it to the range.

Well the BAR shot 1.5 inch  100 yd. groups on average with two brands of ammo.  Ther was one jam out of twenty.  Not bad.
