Ya get a cleaning rod
Draw a straight line down it
put in barrel
mark the barrel where the line on the rod is
then draw a line around the rod at the end of the barrel
then push down and make sure your handle lets it twist
and when it makes one turn mark the rod
pull it out and measure between the two line and that is you twist rate
so 10" between lines means its a 1-10, one turn every 10"
