Anyvbody sent off for a new barrel lately?
« on: August 04, 2010, 02:29:05 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has sent off for a new barrel lately and what the results were, costs, etc.?
How long did it take and were you satisfied with the work done? Also are the 44 mag barrels of the proper bore/groove size now?
thanks,

MidwayUSA.com has barrels and a good set of customer reviews for different brands/models.  You can get at least some answers to your questions there.

Brownells.com will also have some good answers.

After that and more posts from readers here, a web search is in order.

Hunter, see the Ilion Satisfaction Poll in the FAQs and Help sticky, it has almost all of the reports on Factory service in the last couple years cuz that's where they should be for fellers like yourself.

I think you're lost(don't know what forum you're in!!), new H&R barrels are only available as factory fitted option, no one else sells em.  :'(
