35 Remington
« on: August 04, 2010, 08:34:02 AM »
I wanted to switch to an all copper bullet in my 35 Remiongton TC carbine and pistol barrels.  Last year I used some of Barnes 30-30 bullets in my 30-30 and was amazed by the way they performed.  Based upon a suggestion from Barnes I tried some of their .357 140 grain bullets in my 35 remington.  I was worried about their accuarcy but at the range they shot amazing!  I can not wait to see how they will perfom on a deer.  If they are like other Barnes bullets I would expect nothing short of greatness.  If anyone else is looking for an copper bullet for the 35 Rem then I recommend the Barnes pistol bullets (even though they are a little pricey).

The person I spoke with recommended I use the published load data for 158 grain bullets as the longer solid copper bullet would have approximately the same surface area in the bore.
