combat elite

I  have a Colt  MK IV series 80 Combat Elite. whenever I am shopping around for "goodies" this gun is never mentioned specificaly. is this pistol in the gold cup family or something else. can anyone help?  thanks

It is a 1911.  The combat elite is mainly to do with the finish, sights, etc.  Just a model designation that represents the features and a marketing tool.
