Hot blueing
« on: August 03, 2010, 04:20:57 PM »
I have several rifles I'd like to have re-blued and maybe Parkerize the receiver on one. I'd like them to 1.)-disassemble rifle 2.) clean all parts  3.)polish and re-blue 4.) re-assemble rifle (I'm spelling this out because some sites give a  flat price but then charge extra for disassembly ). Does anyone have a company they would recommend? Thanks for your help.

As of 2007, H&R would reblue a barrel for $25 and a frame for $35, but I don't know what they charge now, wouldn't hurt to call and ask, toll free (866)776-9292.

I've had very good service from Roger Roghaar at http://gunblue.homestead.com/  He seems to be very reasonable and stands behind his work.  Tell him Kees sent you....
