300 wsm?

I brought a Savage model 10fm in 300 wsm it has a 20"barrel on it,is that to short or the 300 wsm?

Yup---that's too short if you want to get the added benefit of going to a magnum cartridge. 23-24 inches are your best bet.

Yes, by at least 4" way to short.  In fact if it were me I would re-barrel to a 25" length.  Lawdog

My 12VBSS has a 26" so I would assume you can get a longer barrel from Savage.

There should also be some after-market stuff out there.
