trail camera flash?

I would like a trail camera but don't have much money at all I was wondering the cheaper cameras that have flash does it really matter? will the flash scare the deer? is it worth getting one without a flash and would like to know good cameras for under $150

My newest addition has been a Stealth Cam Rogue IR. It takes great pics and I think I only paid about $120 for it. I did pay less for my Moultrie D40s, but the Stealth Cam takes much better pics. Flas hasn't made much of a difference, unless that's the reason I never see a big deer twice. ???

whats the average distance of clear pics with a trail cam?

It really depends on the camera and it's flash, either IR or conventional. They all advertise different distances. I try to stay within half the stated range. ;)

Look at Walmart.com. That's where I got the best deal. Also Sportsman's Guide has had a sale on them.

sportsmans guide has them for $150 with the IR $130 for ordinary flash I dont know i'll keep checking some out see if I can't come up with one

I have a older Game Tracker 35 and a newer Moultrie.  Both with flash.  I have had lots of pics of the same animal pic after pic.  The flash didn't seem to scare them at all.  Maybe it scares some but I doubt it.  Im about to buy another trail cam and it will be with flash.
