There is no factory barrel that could just be rechambered, it would have to be a rebore of a smaller bored barrel and rechambered, or a stub(see FAQs), either of which will cost $250-$350 plus the cost of the donor parts.

You would have to have a 22WMR bored to 25cal, and then chamber it in 7.62x25.

Pity you don't want a 22 cal version, the 22 Reed Express could be the ticket:

The 7.62X25 would make a real fun little walking around gun.  It's suprisingly flat shooting out of my pistol, would be fun in a short Handi.  DP
RIP Oct 27, 2017

Handi's:22Shot, 22LR, 2-22Mag, 22Hornet, 5-223, 2-357Max, 44 mag, 2-45LC, 7-30 Waters, 7mm-08, 280, 25-06, 30-30, 30-30AI, 444Marlin, 45-70, AND 2-38-55s, 158 Topper 22 Hornet/20ga. combo;  Levers-Marlins:Two 357's, 44 mag, 4-30-30s, RC-Glenfields 36G-30A & XLR, 3-35 Rem, M-375, 2-444P's, 444SS, 308 MX, 338Marlin MXLR, 38-55 CB, 45-70 GS, XS7 22-250 and 7mm08;  BLR's:7mm08, 358Win;  Rossi: 3-357mag, 44mag, 2-454 Casull; Winchesters: 7-30 Waters, 45Colt Trapper; Bolt actions, too many;  22's, way too many.  Who says it's an addiction?

I think Guy Pike had one built by a gunsmith up in New England on a Handi  frame

Brian buddy I hate to call you out, but the 7.62 is the designation of the bullet Dia. thus a 30cal. The x25 is the case length, the russians must have not liked short easy names for their cartridges ;D

I would suggest a take off 303 Enfield barrel or possibly a Nagant barrel for a stub job.

This begs the question, why hasn't anyone made a barrel for a handi?  No one owns a machine shop or can get time with a CNC machine..... Just asking.....

thanks for the info all i do wish someone would make one and i guess the reason i want it would be cheap to feed a 7.62 tok and pretty flat shooting and accurate round.

the 22 reed express would probably be good round but not much experience or knowledge of it need to research it more i guess not sure how it would compare to the tok round and not really any place but reed's to get ammo.

I think 7.62x25 refers to the caliber and length in mm.

An Enfield or a Mosin were suggested above. These are both .311.If a 7.62X25 bullet mikes out at .30 caliber (.308) then a 30-30 Handi with an MCA chamber adapter would work.I do know that MCA makes 7.62X25 chamber adapters.
