Lost a Friend today
« on: June 07, 2010, 06:00:13 PM »
Stumbles AKA MAtt Morgan was killed in a motorcyle accident this morning near Ardmore OK. He was the Prez of the American Ironriders and was preparing for their rally that was coming up this weekend. He was a good friend and a committed biker. Gonna miss ya brub.

I saw that on the news this morn.and couldn't help if the weather down here had a part in it. I was riding just a few miles from there Sunday, and the heat and humidity was terrible over there. It was only 97 degrees and I was not feeling that hot,but I got kinda lightheaded while rideing so I went home for awhile. I got awfull tired riding Mon. also,I did'nt even ride Mon. eve. because of it. Your friend did'nt even brake before he hit the backend of the pickup truck. His friends said he was in the lead, and just did'nt stop at the intersection. We need to keep alert on these things and the weather until become  used to it.  Digger

Matt was recovering from a brain injury from a serious accident where a Longhorn cow ran out in the road in front of him. He admitted that his reflexes were down and the dresser was jazzed up. He just let things get out of hand and could not stop in time. As you said we have to always be alert and maybe resist that little urge to twist it when we should not.

I'm sorry for your loss. I hate hearing things like this all off the damn time. Seems like there are more and more of these stories on the news and in the paper every week.

Just got back from the funeral and it was something to remember. 250 bikes rode in formation to the red River bridge and lined up on both sides. His girlfriend and best friend rode the length of the bridge spreading his ashes. Luv ya this big brother.
