Well, FWIW, today I shot mine to dial in a 'new' old El Paso Weaver K-3. At 50yds. out back, off Caldwell bags filled with 'cat litter', it (an '06 if I remember right) will pile one onto another. This out of fire formed 30-30 brass and a.379 Lyman No.2 alloy, bevel base 245gr bullet, over 18.0 gr IMR 4227 and old Alcan LR primers.
Over at the sand wash out at 140yds it will land in relatively the same spot, offhand, if I dont mess up.
Im taking it to a friendly 'scheutzen match' against multi-thousand dollar rifles and some real shooters and expect to do OK.
Im thinkin' the longer brass isnt likely to do ME any better, but if I stumble on a few cases I suppose Id try them.
