Well, bought a new boulevard off the show floor, has less then 200 miles on it. I've been through 2 clutch's and over half of the miles are highway, is there anyone out there with a bouldevard with the same problem or is it just me.

I use mine around town and short trips and its doing very well.Its the 800 cc. model with windshield and bags and with around 2000 miles on it I'll have to say that its doing well. It has some vibes in the bars at 70 miles per hr.but after about 15 miles I don't notice them. It seems to smooth out at 80 and above.  Digger

A new clutch every 100 miles?  Were the plates glazed or the whole basket shot? Unless you ride with your hand on the clutch lever I can't see why one would go thru two clutches in such a short time. Even a new rider slippin' the clutch ridin' in heavy stop and go traffic should get better mileage outta a clutch than that. Maybe the original clutch was outta adjustment when you first got it, but after the dealer replaced it with a new one, it shoulda been adjusted properly. Maybe your dealer doesn't know how to properly set up your bike......might wanna try a different dealer if you have more problems with it.

that is crazy.  i would be flipping my lid after clutch number 2.   almost unbelievable.

Yea, I was mad, the second clutch only lasted 7 miles, got it out of the shop on a monday, took it back that friday.

I hope that you aren't paying for them. A clutch can't be all that cheap. I sure as hell wouldn't be paying for it if it went bad in 7 miles.

i have bikes with 20K miles on the clutch
i have dirtbikes that take hell of alot of clutch abuse and never had a clutch wear out in 7 or 100 miles
 that clutch has to be cooking, out of adjustment, the wrong plates or way way way out of adjustment
  i had a suzuki intruder 1400 that was a custom job and was run hard, it had 30K miles on the original clutch with zero problems
 without knowing if there is physical damage or misadjustment ( the dealer replaced it , so prolly not ) , i hate to piss you off or anything, but i think its you

even if it was him, i dont know how you would burn a clutch out in 7 miles.  i dont think a person could do that even if they were trying to.

yeah i hear ya there  :o
 a new clutch that gets cooked in 7 miles is almost to hard to believe
i surely dont have any answers that wasnt  already given.
i have even put the wrong clutch basket in bikes before and got some descent operation from them..
 maybe the OP will come back in and let us know whats up

Should have new's on it in a  couple of days, they're trying some new stuff is all they will say right now. Got the write up of everything from the first, have to see what they do this time.

Got it back from the shop, and it started to rain with 50+ mph wind, but got about 25 miles on this clutch, so hopefully everything is good to go this time around.

I have a '05 S50 in the stable since new 803cc and other then my preffrence on accessories I have only done the normal maintainence, in fact just yesterday I got the new battery in ( replacing the original since purchase battery) and swapped out the oil and filter. Clutch issues ? Havent had them , Knock on wood. 12k on the odometer and alot of it two up from stop-n-go ,highway and plenty of rural twisty/country riding . Couldnt be happier.

 You didnt mention your model and engine size Prospect . That might help a little brother

it's an 805cc C50 model. Got about 100 miles in sense getting it back this time around, shop might have got it fixed this time.

They didn't really say anything, but one of the guys that works there is a good friend of mine and he said the second time they didn't put the plates in right.
