Easter
« on: April 04, 2010, 06:52:25 AM »
This might get booted, but I contend that it is Handi related in that I'm posting it for all Christians who have an interest in NEF.  I'm sufficiently vain to enjoy sharing my writings.  God Bless all of you.

Three Days

They looked for Him within His tomb
Three days from when one might assume
That He had died upon the cross
A mortal man, a mortal loss.

The stone removed and linens left—
So little there for those bereft,
Except the angels sent to say
That Jesus Christ no longer lay

In garden tomb among the dead,
But He has risen, as He said—
Has gone from here to Galilee,
And so to Mary, “Go and see.”

Three days before, when Jesus died,
A goodly man put fear aside
And placed Him in a tomb of stone,
Then knowing Christ would now atone

For all his sins and sins worldwide—
Christ the groom, the church His bride.
Was and is the resurrection
For lives lain down with His perfection.

Three days entombed, and Three as One—
The Father, Holy Ghost and Son
The Trinity, the love, the grace—
The truth of life we shall embrace.

Very nice Mike, and a happy and blessed Easter to you as well. I think this is appropriate for, and in, our Christian nation (no matter what Obama says, thinks, or will try to force upon us) and I hope and pray it stays....<><....:)
