Thanks for making that easy for me.  I had thought all of our members voted NO here in Al, but I was about to check to see if I needed to make phone calls letting them know they just lost their seat with that vote.  Good to see that our Al House members voted for the people!  Wish I could say that about ALL of the other states!

No real surprises there. The one thing it should point out with glaring clarity is that had more folks "voted the lesser of two evils" last election there likely would not have been enough dumocraps to have voted to pass the bill. There really is a reason why they are called the "lesser evil".

Sure they aren't real good and at times are bad but damn they did stand their ground on this issue and America failed to put enough in there to stop this.

The really sad thing is that even tho our freedom is history there will be no one who stands and fights. We're going down with at most a whimper.

To honest I was kind of surprised our lone Oklahoma Dem voted no.
Although his father is David Boren who represented Oklahoma for many years.
I suspect dad told him to tread lightly.  ::)

Meant to say in my original post that I was posting this so people could see how thier representatives voted.
I know more than a few don't watch local tv news or read the local paper because they have been taken over by the liberals.

Just trying to make it easily accessible for everyone here on GBO.

GB. YEP. I see where one of our 2 dems voted for the people, with the reps. The lesser of 2 evils looks real good right now. This is what we get for a lot of folks throwing votes away. I guess all you 3rd party voters can honestly say that none of your people voted yes.  POWDERMAN.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Well, I'm sure you "lessor of" voters will get everything straightened out next election when you get your Republicans back in. So much for the mutual respect theory on this forum. ::)

dee, i do respect your stance on the issue, but i can't agree with it, it's been hashed out many times on here. all i will say is that any canidate is going to be some kind of compromise, if i agree with the repuclican on 80% of his views and there is an independant that i agree with 99%, i will vote for the republican, as he is the one that stands a chance. btw i read a lot of your posts and agree with almost all of them, but in my opinion we need to pull together if we're going to get anywhere.

I don't think there exists a person with whom I share 99% agreement on all issues. I'd likely be hard pressed to find one I agree with on 80% of ALL issues really.

I do not disagree that both parties are merely opposite sides of the same coin however more often that not things will move in the wrong direction more slowly with one than the other and if you can't move in the right direction then moving in the wrong direction more slowly is sure as hell better than doing it faster.

As I've said before we're NOT gonna elect anyone other than someone with an R or D after their name at the national level until we get some other party firmly established at the local and state levels in a majority of states. Yet no one is moving to make that happen. They merely want to toss someone up at the national level to pretend they are offering an alternative when they in fact are not. It's just a ruse and a part and parcel of the larger whole all run by the same crooked super rich elitist and mostly non American cabel.

The difference Dan is that I believe I see thru their ruse and do not believe that any of the "so called third party" groups or cadidates are a real choice but just a fringe part of the same coin, kinda like the edge rather than one side of it. Only when a real third party effort is made starting at the local level and working up to state level before moving to the national level will I buy into them as being serious and offering us an alternative.

I'll gladly support any person or party at the local and state level that offers a real and viable alternative. I just do not believe that what is happening and has happened so far is that real alternative. I think it merely more smoke and mirrors to make us think it's a real alternative when in actuality I am convinced they are under the control of the same folks as those with a D or R after their name.

I want this country to move in the right direction but that is not yet the will of the majority and so long as the cabal runs things they will let more and more illegal invaders into our country and give them citizenship and the vote.

What I believe I see is that the folks in charge talk of making everyone equal and of spreading the wealth but it is only our wealth not THEIR WEALTH that they want spread. The rich and super rich are not being impacted negatively here only those of us caught in the middle. They are taking from us to give to both the low income/illegals and the rich/super rich at the same time. That is what I believe I see and do not accept that any so called third party offering so far is an alternative but rather more smoke and mirrors and until such time as I am convinced we have a genuine alternative to take us in the right direction I'll vote to go the wrong way as slowly as possible while continuing to hope someone eventually will wise up and start a real grass roots alternative and do it the right way local to state to national level.

I see one PA. Dem voted no. He must have been the only one that listened to what people had to say on the issue. The rest of them wilted like hot plastic when the heat was turned up.
I do not like many things the republicans do, like spend money as there is no end to it, but the Rep's are not like the Dem's as many indicate. There were no Rep. votes on this piece of garbage. I'm glad they stood their ground for a change.

Dee, I respect your wisdom on many issues, and I have been torn in the past as whether to vote for someone that I wanted to win, that had no chance of winning. Or voting for the next best that I knew had a chance of winning. I see it as needing more people on our side for a third party candidate to have a chance. Or the mentality of half the voters has to change. I just can't bring myself to vote for a third party candidate when I know there is no chance for him to win. It is a fact that a Rep or a Dem is going to win the white house as things now stand. I wish it was different, but its not. People that want government to stand firm and abide by the Constitution are a dieing breed, and the ones that are left, I feel, do need to stick together.  In a way I feel that I'm wrong voting for the lesser, but in another way, I feel that I'm right in doing so.

Thanks for the "read-out", Oldfart! It looks like our rep form MO (Ike Skelton) got the "word" and voted NO. His "cover" was "blown"  at the last "town hall" meeting and he has a serious contender for his seat of whom I'm going to actively support. He has used the line, "I'm a veteran, Christian, and support your gun rights" while he has signed along on every big "package" deal imaginable since before Clinton was in office.  He made "photo ops" for local projects bragging about all the "ear marks" he garnished for our state from the "stimulus packages", which amounted to pennies on the dollar of what was stolen from our taxes. We'll see how many other Democrats brag about voting NO while making sure it had enough Yes's to get passed!

I am gonna reply to this only because I find it interesting that you would think that mutual respect implies mutual agreement. I have always respected your opinions Dan, I have argued with you, respectfully I thought. and I thought we had agreed to disagree. Now it seems when others disagree with you it is disrespectful.

Arkansas's D-Berry only announced his intention of voting "No" a little before the vote ( of course they already knew they had the votes) on sunday ... Personally I believe ( and from what I'm reading, I'm not alone in this thinking ) if he had been called upon he would have changed that No to a Yes at the drop of a hat.

They all need to be replaced. And I have this list already copied and on my wall with the guilty high lighted ..

This is bad , Scratch that "bad" doesnt even come close to summing this event up! And I dont feel that praying is enough.
