handi-grip
« on: February 28, 2010, 07:48:25 AM »
Has anyone seen the new syn. handi-grip handi-rifles. I just saw it in the 2010 H&R booklet and i like it! Does anyone know if the rifles or grips are available yet? I think i would like the grip on my 223 for varmint hunting. Have a 357 reamed to 357 max. with a syn. stock, and planning on getting a 45/70 next. Might wait for the handi-grip to come out before getting the 45/70.

Look back in the last few pages, there are several threads on them, Bud's had the 25-06 in stock a few days ago, accessory stocks won't be available until April.

I'm thinking the rifles will only be available with the Handi-grip as an Ultra Varmint Rifle or as Tim says as an accessory. Davidson's has had them for a while now. http://www.galleryofguns.com/Genie/default.aspx?pg=list&mfg=Harrington+%26+Richardson&mdl=All&cat=2&type=All&cal=All&fin=All&sit=All&inv=Y

Bud's has had the Handi-grip in 243, 25-06, 308 and 45-70 for $275 shipped, but has sold all but the 25-06, he first listed them a couple months ago. They're available in 204, 223 and 22-250 as well, the 204, 223 and 22-250 are listed as 24" heavy varmint, the others are 22" except the 25-06 which is 26".  ;) H&R lists them as the Handi-Grip HandiRifleŽ. http://www.hr1871.com/Firearms/Rifles/handiRifle.asp

Tim,
I'm surprised. I had only ever seen them at Davidson's as Ultras.

By the time they figure that out, H&R will be making them and they'll never know the difference!!  ;D
