H&R BC Latch Spring Question
« on: February 27, 2010, 06:12:50 AM »
I just noticed something on my new BC and I want to make sure it's OK. When I remove the barrel and look in the frame at the latch should I be able to see the latch spring peeking just below the latch bottom edge? Is there an indent in the back of the latch for the spring to locate in or not? I can't tell from the parts diagram. I just want to know if this is normal and is what I should be seeing.

That's normal, you may be able to push it up out of sight, but it will work it's way down again.  ;)

Thanks a bunch Tim, I really appreciate it. I just wanted to make sure the spring didn't need to be pushed back into a recess in the back of the latch. One less thing to worry about and/or take care of.
