Handi Combo
« on: February 05, 2010, 03:56:32 PM »
I had an Uncle Mike's take-down shotgun case just sitting around, so I decided to put it to use.

Everything fits well. The Survivor stock and Stor-arm forearm work well with this set-up.

Both the .357 barrel (top) and the 20ga barrel (bottom) fit in sleeves in the case. Ammo fits in the ends of each sleeve.

All in all not a bad little set-up to put behind the seat of the truck, or in the trunk of the car.

I got a similar case from SG a few years ago, made by NC Star. Just long enough to hold the BC barrel. It is loaded with the BC barrel, .204 barrel, reciever/fore end and ammo for both for a little shooting tomorrow. Really nice way to pack a Handi around.

I take the bag from one of those $7.99, fold up, throw away, lawn chairs, break down the Handi and stuff it in there. This is for a somewhat rusty truck gun mind you. Mine has a pic of the chair on the label of the bag. Figure it would not get attention from a thief. Even has a thin shoulder strap.

That is exactly how I carry my 12ga Survivor. Works very well, and doed not warrant an extra glance from anyone.

Put a scope on the .357 this weekend and sighted it in. With my reloads this thing is darn accurate. I need to take a camera with me next time, but I think this thing will make clover leaves if I do my part.
Little thing is heavy, but very fun.
