bipod?
« on: February 06, 2010, 08:12:33 AM »
I am making my own custom forend for my t/c 223 pistol.  I am going to put a bipod on it.  Is there a specific reason that the unextended legs must face forward?

Don't know what type or length of bipod you are going to use.

On my contender if it was facing to the rear, it would hit  the trigger guard when folded
and obstructs the trigger should you want to shoot with legs folded up.
Mine is the 9" model, the shortest one available I believe.

I use the Harris 6-9 inch. Just mout it backwards so the legs face the muzzle.

I think the legs face forward so they don't fold up when you press your shoulder against the stock of a rifle.
At least thats what happened when I tried mine backwards.
Maybe it doesn't matter on a handgun.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.
