HIGHPOINT 45ACP Carbine.
« on: June 10, 2010, 03:18:47 PM »
I know they make a pistol, but Did or does highpoint make a 45acp carbine like the 995? If not, man I bet that would be a dandy little seller. I think a 38 Super sure would be a neat little auto carbine too.

Keep waiting a little longer Ryan. Hi-Point WILL eventually bring out a 45ACP carbine. Their website says around August of this year, but they've been saying they'll bring out the 45 since WWII it seems like. They do have out right now a 40S&W in the carbine. I'm waiting for the 45 myself as a heavy brush, dense wooded deer rifle that's half the length of a standard rifle. I have the 995TS now and I love it for it's versatility and looks.

It's been "coming soon" for about ten years now.  I'll believe it when I see it.

The end of August 2010 is rapidly approaching, and still no .45 ACP Carbine.

Last night they said est aug 2010.  Tonight that is gone and they are showing the 4595TS.  Maybe it will hit the dealers soon.

That's crazy though, he says it is from Davidson's but I checked the Gallery of Guns and none are in stock or received.  Dunno.

You can call Hi Point and they will give you list of dealers who have received this carbine.

I went to my friendly neighborhood gun shop and asked them about it.  They said they'd get right on it.  Not sure how long it will take, but I know there will be one there (they'll probably order at least two) for me to handle in person.  They usually stock a selection of HiPoint rifles and pistols right along side their high end stuff.  They tell me that the HiPoints are consistent sellers.  Not a huge volume of them, but a steady trickle worth carrying.  Point is, they sell enough that they are willing to order the new model without making me commit sight unseen.  If I don't buy it someone will.  They also know I'm a compulsive gun buyer so I'll likely end up walking out with it  ;)

I stopped in at my local dealer on the 30th of Aug.  She ordered one at that time.  Has not hit the shelf yet.  Waiting.
