savage stevens 94 m 20 gauge project gun
« on: January 23, 2010, 05:53:07 AM »
I traded an air rifle with a friend of mine for an old beat up savage 94 that he got as trade for some work he did . it was in sad shape . i refinished the wood with bc tru-oil and had a big brass bead installed in place of the tiny aluminum one . i also had a new trigger guard installed in place of the missing factory unit. it turned out very nice IMO and is a joy to shoot .  it shoots much better with that big brass bead , and is deadly on clays with rotwiel #6 game loads and should be a great gun for squirrel or rabbit hunting .

I'd say you made a good trade.

Always liked those old Savage/Stevens single shots.  Should serve you well.
