257 roberts
« on: January 25, 2010, 07:41:28 AM »
I was told that Remington made a model 700, 257 roberts that was built on a standard (30-06 class) action. Anyone know anything about this? I have a custom stock that I would like to find on for, if they were made. Thanks.

The 700 "Classic" was made on a long action but they put short throat in barrel so one can't seat bullets out unless one lengthens the throat. Mine the bullet hits the rifling before on gets to long for a short action. I need to ream the throat out.
