it will fit exactly if your sb1 is in the year range, and the factory does it...
it may or may not fit correctly if you buy a barrel from the classifieds.
if it don't, the faq's can tell ya how to fit it.....
i think its 1986 or later, for the factory to supply and fit the 357 barrel
to your sb1.........others here will know more....

I'll wait to hear the answer also, but I don't see why not if they sell .357s on sb-1 frames.

H&R will fit 357 and 44 mag accessory barrels to SB1 frames made 1987 or later.

Sounds like a good way to get a combo fairly cheap if you find a good deal on a used shotgun. Any idea on the wait for a .357 barrel?

They just made a run of barrels, but they could be out already, best to just call and ask.  ;)

Read the asterick (*) marked stuff at the bottom of the charts. They WILL match 357 and 44 mag to SB1's. They are actually sold on SB1 frames. What you are seeing is that they will not match any of the high pressure centerfire rifles to an SB1 frame.

From H&R1871.com

*Note: The frame of the 44 Mag. (SB1-S44) and the 357 Mag. (SB1-S35) cannot be fit with any other centerfire rifle barrel. They are capable of being fit with accessory shotgun barrels, but their rifle capability is limited to the specific 44 or 357 Mag. barrel that it is shipped on the gun.

Note the SB1 in the order number.

Their website has lots of errors, that's just one of them, call them and ask what barrels can be fitted.  ;) toll free (866)776-9292

What is the current cost to have the factory fit a 357mag  and or a 44mag barrel
to an SB-1 receiver.  I have sorta been looking for over a year to buy an SB-2
receiver or whole gun as I would rather have barrels fitted to the stronger receiver
but since I have a shotgun that will have to do.

I am very puzzled by their website never being brought up to date
and with correct pricing and policies info etc.
How ca a big company be so slack in such an important area ?

when i called this morning they said they would have to have my parts before giving a hard price. looks like it may be 140-or+ with shipping both ways.
