ive never really had a problem with much fat on my coyotes and muskrats but ive been getting into the coons and i cant flesh em right with just a hatchet. does a fleshing knife and beam really make a big difference or not really

Fleshing knife and beam definitely make a big difference in how the furs turn out and the amount of effort it takes to do a good job, espeacially if the beam is matched to the contour of the fleshing knife.

 One of the best investments you can make--proper fur handling equpment.
 The proper put up of fur,can double the amount of returns you receive for your furs.
