What is the highest pressure cartridge H&R factory chambered in a non SB2?

I don't think they did a 30-30 on a SB1 frame, if they did a 357 Maximum I would say that is the highest pressure at 40,000psi.  If they did not do a factory Maximum it was probably the 357 Mag. Larry

Ahhh, a trick question!!  :P Non SB2 would apply to the old H&R Inc's cast iron frames too I think, they did 30-30 and 357Mag and Max, 44mag on it, 22 Rem Jet too.

It is a trick, but does a non-SB2 frame make it a SB1 Frame?  I am thinking there are at least 3 different types of frames and that the frames that are not SB1 or SB2's are stronger than the SB1's but not as strong as the SB2's?  Larry

Yes, CW has a Model 158 Topper 357Max, I think it was made on an SB2 one year also.

Does that mean I could take a 357 and fit it myself to my current 410 topper frame?  That would give me hope.
