Handi Stub?

Yes, see the FAQs, site sponsor Oregunsmithing does them, he did a 6.5x55 using a Shilen blank for me, plan on spending $300 for the job plus the cost of the donor parts.

Tim,

I was thinking of something more mass produced instead of custom. 

If the handy Handi owner could buy a stub and threaded barrel for maybe $150, he could do the rest of the work at home.

The threaded stub could also allow screw-in interchangeable barrels, like Savage.

There are no mfrs that offer prefab stubs.

I think that there is a market just waiting for that to happen.

I am in the process of doing a 375 JDJ on a Handi useing a Shilen 375 barrel blank & the $300.00 figure is close except that I will have to buy the reamer ($150.00) because I can't find any rental place that offers a 375 JDJ reamer to rent.
Try to look unimportant.   Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Only Handi so far is a 375 JDJ.
