Winchester M-70 358 Barreled Action
« on: October 22, 2003, 11:37:18 AM »
What would a Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight barreled action in 358 be worth? The barrel has be cut to 20 inches, the action is not as smooth as a Pre 64 usually is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Tim50,
If you are buying a pre 64 action that isn't smooth, you might want to figure out why before you put down hard earned money.  If it is an investment, then have a gunsmith check it and give you an honest value.
If you want it because you want to build a rifle on the action, it's worth less than a smooth working action of another make.
