When I had a 7.62x39 Rossi I never thought about tryin to check that out ..

Sorry i cant help you out there Larry ,Let the Rossi go for my 44mag ;)

I have both.
The underlug on the Rossi is much shorter than the H&R.

I have a rossi 357 mag and few handi rifles. The frames are different enough that it never even occured to me to try.
