« on: November 11, 2009, 08:29:20 AM »
Was in Janesville, WI  Gander MTN and they had a 44 SB2 extracter type for$249, was blue with wood stocks, felt really heavy.  Hit the LaCrosse, WI Gander MTN few hoyrs later and they had a 44 extractor type with black synthetic stocks for $249 also. Each store also had new VERSA-PACS for $129.  Todd

Don't be fooled by barrels marked as SB2, that doesn't mean it's on an SB2 frame, barrels are made long before being fitted. SB1 357 and 44 mag frames will have markings on the right side of the frame that restrict what barrels can be fitted, that's the best way to tell an SB1 from an SB2 on those two chamberings by external appearance.  ;)
