« on: November 17, 2009, 11:49:53 AM »
I found an H&R in a 280 Rem. Lam. Stock Ultra today.I was wondering if anyone knew how rare these are.My friend just told me they made a National Elk Fed. model I didn't check for the coin.Trying to call them now.

The RMEF Ultras were offered in 280 Rem and 35 Whelen around '96, good rifles, but H&R won't fit any barrels to them('96-'99) except the original chambering if you're considering accessory barrels for the frame, good luck learning anything from Madison on them other than what I've shared, see the serial number prefix build year list to see when it was made.  :-\

Thanks Tim.I like to collect the rare ones and sell them. Most people don't think of Handi as collectibles, but there are a few calibers and complete rifles that will turn a nice profit it you find one used. Most people just see a shelf with used $200 rifles I always look close at the calibers and for the medallion in the stocks.
