Does the plastic trigger gaurd ever cause reliability concerns with the pin holes etc.?

I've never experienced a problem doing trigger jobs, the only problem I recollect is someone breaking one when it was real cold.  :-\

Problem is not to trust or not as for the most part you have no choice unless you can find some old parts. Just enjoy as is and if it breaks you can always get a replacement from the factory. Kurt

I've been carrying mine with the stock trigger guard since 1996.  Have abused the heck out of the gun.  No problem with the trigger guard, has not broken yet, got a few dings, but still hanging in there.  They have been out in real cold weather too.  35 and 40 below, no problems.

A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

H&R and NEF have been using plastic since at least the 1980's for trigger guards..  And none of my original Pardners(sold to friends) from that era have had any problems with the trigger guards.

I bought a used Pardner with a broken trigger guard once.  H&R replaced it for free and paid return shipping.  Turn around was about 7 days.
