How many times does this happen?
« on: November 02, 2009, 11:28:31 AM »
Just picked up a slightly used "Ultra rifle" in .308 and every barrel I own fit it without any alteration. Absolutely no gap between the barrel and frame face and a .002 shim would not allow the barrels to close and lock up. I guess you fall into it once and awhile and come out smelling like a rose.

Don't you have some place to be instead of posting on here?  ;D
I had exactly the opposite happen with a .270 Ultra. The factory matched barrel was loose and other barrels were at least as loose. Good job on getting one that good, yours must have been a Wednesday gun, mine was made on a Monday morning after the Super Bowl ::)
